The Lottery by Shirley Jackson was a very caught off guard story from the title. when just reading the title theres not much to expect from the story but it to be about a lottery. I liked the story because that specific reason it was so shocking at the end of it. Any story that has a twist at the end of it takes my interest. I would recommend the story to someone but just because I liked it so I'm going based off my opinion. Even though the moral behind it wasn't so great.
The Yellow wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins is something that wasn't expected from just reading the title although it was very interesting. From just reading the title I thought it was  just going to be about a family who disliked or liked their wallpaper. The reason that I liked this story was because as a women i can relate to the character in the story. Also i would recommend it just because when females relate to something they take a lot of interest in it

Poem Ask me ...

The short poem Ask me by William Stafford was nothing of which  I expected from reading the title.  Before reading the poem I didn't really have much expectations, I just thought that it will be a simple poem about nature or life in a forest. What I liked most about the poem is that it still had a lot of meaning and understanding even though it was short. There was no dislikes in this poem, everything flowed well reading and comprehending it. I would recommend it to a friend because I feel this poem is very relatable to teens and adults.

A sound of thunder by Ray Bradbury was not at all what i had expected after reading this story. I had expected some type of old spooky tale about a wise old man. What I liked most about the story is that it was such a shocking ending and wasn't so predictable. There was not a dull moment in the story so  there wasn't anything not too like. I would recommend this book to a friend because it pulls you into a different type of writing instead of the urban that we are used to reading.

The tell-tale heart by Edgar Allan Poe  was a unique short story because it leaves the reader with so many questions. My expectations before reading the short story was for to just get a basic background of who Edgar was as a author. The best part of the story to me was intensity and curiosity the narrator leaves you with after reading it. The least that I liked about the book was the transition of the two different parts that the story was broken up into only because it was a bit confusing for a first time reader. Most of my friends I would not recommend the story to only because i know where their interest are in books and this would not really be on their top three.
